future of La Liga looks uncertain remains as further talks aimed at averting the strike failed to find a resolution on Saturday.
Talks between the Spanish Professional Footballers' Union (AFE) and the Spanish Football League (LFP) took place on Saturday without progress being made.
This weekend's scheduled opening matches of both Primera and Segunda Division fixtures has already been postponed as a result of a disagreement over the issue of unpaid wages of the player.
Talks will now resume at the start of next week as the two bodies look to avoid the strike going into the second round of the season.
