Real Madrid are Stronger - Ozil

Real Madrid playmaker Mesut Ozil believes the current Los Blancos side is significantly stronger than they were last season.

"We are much stronger," Ozil told Kicker.

"We've taken a step further compared to the previous campaign."

And despite Real regularly adding new players to their ranks, Ozil believes the squad are now starting to gel together as a unit.

"Real Madrid have made a lot of signings in the last couple of years, but you can now tell we understand each other on the pitch."

Cristiano Ronaldo refuses to rule out a move to Manchester in the future

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has refused to close the door on a potential return to Manchester United, after admitting he left a part of himself in England. The Portuguese forward left Old Trafford for the Bernabeu in an £80million world-record deal in 2009.

He told Sky Sports News: ‘Maybe in the future I hope so, because I know the league, I know the players, I know the atmosphere.

‘I have good memories from Manchester and when I watch sometimes the games I miss it a lot because it's part of me I left in England.

‘The most important reason why I moved is the challenge because I really like to put myself under pressure to see what I can do, but I really miss the Premier League - for me it is along with the Spanish league the best league in the world.

Callejon has faith in himself

Real Madrid winger Jose Callejon is cautiously optimistic about his chances at succeeding at the club in his second attempt.

Callejon re-signed for Madrid in the summer in a €5.5 million deal just three years after leaving the club.

The winger, who came on as a substitute in Madrid's 6-0 win over Zaragoza in the opening round of La Liga fixtures, hopes to make a bigger impression at the Spanish giants than some other talented players who have come before him but failed.

"I do not want what happened to Pedro Leon and Sergio Canales to happen to me, though I am aware that on this team only the best play and that it will be hard to play, but I trust my chances," Callejon said at a press conference.
